Craftsman 6.5 Horsepower 22

We have a Craftsman 6.5 horsepower lawn mower. It has been with us for 10 years and is still working great!

We bought it from a local Sears store when we moved into our new house 10 years ago. It was $299.00 and came with a two-year manufacturer warranty. We never had any problem with it though. This machine has cut-height adjustment lever on all four wheels so that you can easily adjust how tall you want your grass to be after each cut. It is also power propelled and the two real wheels are bigger than the front ones, which really makes it easy to push around, especially in graded area. Our yard is about 0.2 acre. With this lawn mower, it takes about 30 minutes to get the job done. The other nice thing about it is that it has a side mulch discharge. When you cut the grass regularly, the mulched grasses spit out from the side so you do not have to worry about collecting and disposing them.

It is not just easy to use, but also easy to maintain. Every year before the first use in spring, we would do an oil change, as recommended by the manufacturer. In addition, about every 3-4 years we clean or change its air filter, depending on the dirtiness of the filter. That is all the maintenance we have performed on it in the past 10 years. Although the maintenance is quite minimal, it seems to be really happy and never complained by breaking down in the middle of mowing.

With its performance, we recommend you to get one like it.
