Cub Cadet Model GT 1554 Riding Mower

There are several reasons why I love my Cub Cadet riding lawn mower. First and foremost is the toughness and reliability. I have had to mow some tough weeds with it and really use it hard. The motor has never given me any trouble and it has always done an exceptional job!

I love the “Reverse Mowing” feature simply because it lets me keep cutting, forward or backward, and that saves a lot of time and makes the task easier. I have always been able to change the belts and blades without any trouble and that says a lot! I have had lots of trouble getting on new belts with other brands that I have owned. I also love the fancy deck wash system this machine has.

I think that is a real luxury to have and it does help tremendously with all the grass and weeds that get trapped under there. This machine has always been easy to do maintenance on, changing the oil and filter is no problem.

I have also been able to easily order my parts for it….I prefer to get them myself and order what I want. Their customer service people are easy to talk to and make it easy to figure out what you need. Mostly I just get everything from my manual and go by that.

I’ve never had a problem with ordering, though I’ve only needed belts or filters for this mower. It has the hydrostatic transmission like many others and it is real nice to steer and everything. It is not stiff to turn at all.

Once in a while I have to grease a few spots with my grease gun, but that’s just normal stuff if you want it to continue to maneuver and turn easily. This is definitely the best riding mower that I have had and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
