John Deere L160 riding mower

When my husband and I moved from the city five years ago to our 1.44 acre home in the country the first thing we did was purchase a John Deere riding lawn mower. We chose the brand because we believed it to be the best in the market. We have not regretted our choice ever. Even though it was a little pricier than others to buy, I believe we've saved both money and headache by doing so.
I have to tell you that our mower has outlived both our neighbors non-Deere mowers. It is a good strong machine and well made. There is some maintenance required such as changing the oil and filter, cleaning the blade, replacing the spark plug but the manual explains in detail what and when to do anything that is needed. This maintenance is simple enough that anyone can learn how to do it.
The nicest thing about the mower is its ability to turn sharp corners. We have 22 fruit bearing trees and bushes in our yard and so without a sharp turning mower there would be a lot of weed whacking to do. In addition to being an excellent tool, it makes mowing fun. Sometimes my husband and I argue over who is going to get to mow! That's a change for the better.
