Murray 22'' 4.5 HP Push Mower

My dad has owned this lawnmower for probably 5 or 6 years, and is a very reliable machine. It is a very lightweight mower, and is easy to maneuver. It is ideal for a person that owns a small property, and needs to cut their own grass.

I use it on the frontyard, backyard, and sideyard on a medium size lot, and it still gets the job done in a pretty short period of time.

I would not recommend this to someone who had a larger lot, where a more powerful riding mower would be much more efficient.

It does pretty well on gas. I'm not sure how big the tank is but i can mow all 3 of my yards on one tank of gas. Even after all these years it still starts up powerfully on the first try!

this is a great lawnmower, and for the price (i believe my father paid just a little over $100) it is a very good deal!

Durable Machine
by: Phil- Lewisburg,PA

We're into our 7th cutting season and have had very little problems with this mower. Aquired at Home Depot for around $200.00. Lightweight and easy to mannuver. Wheels are easy to adjust for different cutting heights. Starts with little difficulty. Other than installing a new blade this year and annual maintenance, the only problem we've encountered (and solved), was why the engine started surging 'high and low' last year. Turns out the carburtor diaphram was being warped from the ethanol in the un-leaded gas we use. Our local mower shop immediatly knew what was causing this problem and advised using an additive,(StarTron)made by Star bright Co.(Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), and like magic- Problem Solved! In all, great little mower.

Unlike all the other comments mine is not good. I have used this lawnmower for some time now and almost everytime it gives me a problem. It overheats too mucH! I have used 3 and the same problem happened for all of them.

Starts every time
by: Rob S

Purchased my Murray 22" 3 in 1 push mower in 2001. Other than replacing a wheel, the machine has had no problems. The 6HP Briggs and Stratton engine starts every time.

Purchased the mower at Home Depot. Was a little less expensive than most other brands. I really like having the option to mulch, bag, or side-discharge.

Around my area, it seems Home Depot no longer carries the Murray brand. I think Briggs and Stratton bought the Murray Company a few years ago. In fact I do not see Murray mowers in Lowes or Walmart either.
