Murray Mower

We were given our Murray mower three years ago by my father-in-law, who had purchased the mower new. He had it eight years before giving it to us. The only problem we have had was that we had a tire that leaked and we recently had a problem with the brake on it. Other than that the mower has not given us any trouble.

Our property is about three quarters of an acre with very steep ditches on two sides. The mower is stable enough for us to be able to mow the ditches, whereas the mower we had before would not allow that and we had to use a push mower for the ditches.

It gives us a forty two inch cut. It has a head light which allows for mowing in the evening when the temperatures are a little cooler which is great in the middle of the Florida summers.

We change the oil, air filter, and spark plug once a year. We also clean the carburator yearly and sharpen the blades. With proper maintenance this mower has run smoothly. The seat is fairly comfortable.

I look forward to the day when I can purchase a brand new one with a larger seat and a wider cut. I want to get the Murray with mulching blades on it.

Compared to other mowers we have owned the Murray is by far the best. The other mowers we had never lasted more than four or five years without giving us major problems.
