Bolens Push Lawn Mower 11A-414A

I got a Bolens Gas powered push mower Model 11A-414A to manage my unkempt lawn, since gardening was my longtime passion, as a surprise birthday gift from my father who owned a similar model as well. It is a very comfortable mower with unfailing consistency, dynamic performance.

The product is prized cheaply for not-so-wealthy persons owning lush green lawns. The lawn mower starts spontaneously with the help of a pull cord. The simple, foldable push handle controls are durable and long-lasting, located at a suitable height for most end users. The four wheels, 7inches front and 8inches back, have unique adjustors plus height is adjustable to nine positions, to ensure comfortable posture and reduce physical strain and back pain.

Bolens push lawn mower is one of the paramount products of its kind. The sturdy Briggs and Stratton 158cc engine fires up effortlessly during its operation. Lawn grass is uniformly sliced up to 21 inches of width plus one to three inches of cutting height. To cut lofty grasses, you might occasionally retrace the process. Mulching, that is, slicing grass into smaller pieces for use as organic fertilizer, is possible with the 11A-414A lawn mower.

The lawn mower contains a bulky bag in the backside that can contain up to 2.5 loads of cut grass. It needs relatively less effort to push it on uniform area of land rather than on elevations. The lawn mower has professional and sleek appearance, smooth with steel base, weighing only 30kg. When the lawn mower is not in use, the push handle is collapsible for easy storage.

I have owned it for a little over two years and till now the lawn mower has performed to the entire satisfaction of my family, without any need to repair it or replace any spare parts, gliding smoothly on the lawn while trimming overgrown grasses.

The Briggs and Stratton engine is smooth ensuring noise-free performance. I have had no need to avail the two-year of limited warranty on the Bolens lawn mower till date. The strength of the Bolens gas push lawn mower comes from its power, durability and reliability.

Ive had mine since 2008. Perfect performance not one problem and starts on first pull every time.

As a green industry professional I own many commercial mowers but got tired of going through the hassel of bringing one home every weekend to mow my lawn about 2000 sqft.

Saw a deal at Lowes for this mower $120 bucks in 2008 and picked it up to have at home. Best damn little mower I've got for the price. All my commercial walk behinds cost well over a $1000.

Love the simple all steel deck with no extras.

Unfortunately Bolens dosen't make this model any more as I found out when I went to buy a new air filter.

Must have found out it was too durable for the price and couldnt make as much money on break down parts replacement. SOB's.

Terrible Lawnmower

I have had 2 similar machines. Both had Briggs and Stratton engines. The First one started revving and dying any time I moved it. I tried everything in the manual to fix it and went on line and tried everything there, too, but nothing worked. Finally I tried disassembling the engine and gave up. I foolishly bought another thinking the first was a fluke. This one has not lasted 6 months before starting the same thing. Things I've tried to fix: clean air filter, check for clogged fuel lines, clean carburetor, clean spark plug, endlessly adjusting the automatic throttle control springs, fixing in place the throttle, fresh gas, change spark plug, clean valves, change oil. What more can be done?? Sometimes the problem would go away for one mowing and come back in full force the next time! I will never buy another Briggs and Stratton/ Bolens machine in my life!

Super Mower
by: Bill Gallagher

I too own this mower. It is the Model # 414E765 the 2005 model. All I have done to the mower is put a diaphragm (fuel pump) $3.00 @ Lowes on the motor (Model # 10H902), a 4.5 HP, 158cc engine. I keep the oil changed, changing it twice a year, and the blade sharp. I sharpen the blade about 3 times a year. I live in Florida and the folks here mow 10 months out of the year.

I say 2 thumbs UP !!!
