Craftsman EZ Walk 6.75 HP Rear Gear Drive

We have lived in our home for 8 yrs and started off with a push mower that my dad bought us to start out with. We had that for 5 yrs and it was dreadful because it was not a self propelled lawnmower.

We do not have a huge lawn, but our lawn does have an incline to it. Hard work without a self propelled. When we finally purchased our Craftsman EZ Walk, it was heaven mowing our lawn.

This lawnmower is the best because it goes by itself. All you have to do is walk behind it and steer it in the right direction.

Starting the mower is very easy, all you have to do is make sure you have enough fuel and push the ignition 3 times and pull the chord.

The mower starts right away and I do not get frustrated having to keep pulling the chord. This makes mowing our lawn such an easy task. Mowing the lawn is great exercise.

With this lawnmower you can control the difficulty level by using the lever for the self propelled mower or not. When I go up the incline, I use the lever and it just pulls me up the hill. If I choose to not use the lever, the up hill push is that much harder and it makes me work. Going down hill, I usually release the lever. If I want to get done quick, I use the lever the entire time and I could get finished in 30 minutes.

I used to dread mowing the lawn but now it isn't like that. The lawnmower also has the option to use the bag with it. This will collect all the grass and then you just dump it into the garbage when finished. Simple, easy task.

Overall, I give this lawnmower a 5 star because it has made my job so much easier. Of course some people would prefer the riding mower, but not me. I need the exercise, so I enjoy using my self propelled lawnmower. It has been the best investment for me.

bag problems
by: Anonymous

This Craftsman mower was a good mower as far as starting and the ease of the walk behind. But on my second pass I realized the grass was not all going into the bag. There was a way to latch one side of the bag but as soon as the bag was not even half full it would open and start spilling out. I could only make a couple of passes before having to stop and empty the bag. This frustrated the heck out of me. I quickly returned it. Do not buy this mower.

Pros and cons
by: T Brown

I have only used my new ez walk one time. It started very easily,
three of the wheels adjusted very easily and the rear drive worked very good. All of my good impressions were removed by the grass leakage. I used the mulching set-up. In less than a minute the grass leakage around the closures where the side discharge and grass bag goes, had covered the cutting deck with mulched grass. Needless to say my allergies were affected by all of the grass and dust being blown around.
The height adjust. adjustment for the left front wheel was bent and the wheel would not adjust.
This was my first Craftsman mower and will probably be my last. Anyone can build a mower that will cut grass, it is attention to small but important details that separate winners from also rans.
