MTD Yard Machines 38" Riding Mower

We moved into a house with a larger yard at the beginning of the summer. We thought buying a riding lawn mower would save us time and energy. Turns out, it's been a giant pain in the back side.

The MTD Yard Machines riding mower that we bought has horrible steering/cornering abilities, and the tires seem really flimsy. If you get too close to, well, anything it tries to climb it because the tires are awful.

What's more - it doesn't even cut evenly. We thought perhaps it was a blade adjustment issue - but that didn't seem to be the case. Anytime we mow our yard, it looks like we've been drinking. We are so extremely unsatisfied with this purchase that we took the time to write a strongly worded letter to the company.

So, needless to say, we are heated! Literally, because we're having to use the push mower on the lawn just to make it look halfway decent. MTD Yard Machines 38" riding lawn mower did not meet our expectations by any stretch of the imagination. Perhaps we should have shelled out another $300 for a John Deere.

We have considered selling the mower, but - I'm ashamed to put that burden off on anyone else. How awful is that?

I have had 3 38" cut yardmachines. I mow 2 cemeterys so I can get between more Monuments. After 4or 5 years I give them away so I can charge off the new one and they are still in useI have been very happy with them Thank you MTD

your deck needs to be leveled. It should have been done when it was assembled at the store.
