Murray 3.5HP Self Propelled

I've owned this mower for two years now. It runs the 3.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton motor. It does a great job and the self propelled feature works amazing, never realize how much it helps until you turn it off.

I've had to replace the blades twice so I wouldn't say it was fault of the mower itself, just the abuse I put mine through. I picked it up for around $300 at Northern Tool. The only problem I've really had so far is how weak the handle feels.

I do have a several trees and "obstacles" around the yard so after maneuvering so many times it almost feel as though the handle will break off at the bolts one of these times. Either way, it's lasted a long time and cut a lot grass.

I'd recommend this mower to anyone with a small/midsize yard and not many trees.

Best mower I've ever had. I bought it 16 years ago at WalMart for about a hundred bucks. Every year I clean the air filter, change the oil and sharpen the blade. I add about a 1/3 cup of a STP like product to the oil when changing and never have to add during the season. I'm still using the original blade, air filter, and spark plug. It starts on the first pull and never given me any trouble.
