Spray Your Potted Plants During Hot Weather

I do not have a green thumb. In fact, it is probably pretty brown, as in the color of my previously dead plants.
Living in southern Virginia we have very hot days for most of the summer. Along with consistant watering and shade, I have found that spraying my potted plants with a good amount of water in the middle of the afternoon has saved many of them.
The water keeps the leaves and flowers from burning up, and they usually look perked up by evening.
