Troy-Bilt 6.75 21" Cut Push Mower, Model: 11A-436M011
Troy-Bilt 6.75 Torque 21" Cut Push Mower, Model: 11A-436M011. I bought this Troy-Bilt lawn mower last summer (2007), and so far I am very pleased with it. It is lightweight, not difficult to push, and cuts well. It includes a 3-in-1 deck for mulching, rear bagging or side discharge.
The bagger is included on this model, but the bag doesn't hold much, which means that you have to change it very frequently. I would say if you have a very large area to mow that you would soon tire of changing the bag. I am on a single city lot, so it's not that big of an inconvenience.
The blade cuts very smoothly and evenly, so the grass does look very nice. Because the lawn mower is very light, you can move quickly even though the mower is not self-propelled.
My nine-year-old has even mowed with this mower before, so that gives you an idea of how light it is. The mower is gas operated, and the lightness of the mower also makes it great on gas...very conservative.
To mow the entire lot only takes one fill-up, and there will still be a little gas left in the tank. It is quite easy to start as well. I haven't yet had any trouble starting the mower, which is a big improvement over our previous mower.
The price of this mower is compelling as well. I bought it locally for just under $200. It was completely assembled when I bought it, and I was able to carry it home in the trunk of my car by folding down the handle.
All in all I would say for price, performance and convenience this mower rates on a level of about an 8 out of 10, with the small capacity of the bagger being my only true complaint.
